NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE:VOYA), announced today that it has published
its 2017-2018
Corporate Responsibility Annual Report, which reflects the
progress the company has made in recent years to meet financial targets,
grow and evolve its brand and operating model, build upon its culture,
and advance its Corporate Responsibility (CR) strategy.
“Increasingly, all stakeholder groups – including employees, customers
and investors – are placing a premium on companies with values aligned
to theirs and that understand the business benefit of incorporating
corporate responsibility and sustainability,” said Voya Financial
Chairman and CEO Rodney O. Martin, Jr. “This plays to our strengths and
the authentic character of the Voya culture and brand serves as a key
differentiator for our company.”
This year’s CR annual report, titled “Advancing Sustainable Growth,”
discusses Voya’s human capital initiatives that support a
high-performance culture, and describes how the company is leveraging
innovations in the financial services industry to better serve clients
and address the evolving demands of stakeholders. It highlights Voya’s
participation in industry-leading initiatives to advance environmental,
social and governance (ESG) discipline and support long-termism and
“patient capital.” The report also features stories that illustrate the
changing social landscape in the United States, including the decreasing
personal savings rate in the U.S. and the challenges associated with
achieving gender diversity in the financial sector.
